I am a painter, classically-trained in Russia and the United States. I do not believe in artist statements because work should speak for itself. I am happy when I can convey my feelings about the subject to the viewer of my work. Many of my collectors told me that they liked living with my work in their homes. Years go by and yet they keep looking at it, finding simple subjects still interesting and feeling an emotional connection.
